Elevating Coastal Living with Soundavo Whole-Home Audio
A Luxury Florida Beach House Powered by the Soundavo EL-6i
A luxury beachfront property in Florida recently partnered with Soundavo Certified Installers / System Integrators to design and install a complete whole-home audio system built around the Soundavo EL-6i 6-Zone Multi-Room Amplifier.
The homeowner’s vision was simple: create a seamless music experience throughout the entire beach house while maintaining a clean, modern interior without visible AV clutter. The property included multiple entertainment areas such as the main living room, kitchen and dining area, master suite, guest rooms, outdoor pool deck, and rooftop lounge — all requiring independent audio control with reliable streaming capability.
After evaluating several whole-home audio solutions, the integrator selected the Soundavo EL-6i due to its flexible multi-zone architecture, app-based control, integration capabilities, and dedicated Preamp Outputs that allow additional amplification to be added where greater power is required.
The installation team configured the system with:
- Independent music control across 6 audio zones thru Soundavo EL-6i
- Built-in wireless streaming using AirPlay, Spotify Connect, DLNA, and USB playback
- Indoor multi-room audio coverage using Soundavo SD-8S-ALU in-ceiling speakers
- Outdoor speaker integration for the pool and patio entertainment areas
- Dedicated zone preamp outputs connected to additional power amplification for larger entertainment spaces
- Future expansion capability using Soundavo M66-EXT expansion units
- Clean centralized rack installation hidden inside the home’s AV equipment room
Throughout the indoor living spaces, the homeowner selected Soundavo SD-8S-ALU 8" In-Ceiling Speakers. Their low-profile architectural design allows the speakers to blend seamlessly into the ceilings while delivering clear, room-filling sound throughout the home.
The six audio zones were configured as Zone 1 – Living Room, Zone 2 – Kitchen / Dining, Zone 3 – Guest Room 1, Zone 4 – Master Suite, Zone 5 – Guest Room 2, and Zone 6 – Pool Deck & Rooftop Lounge.
Zone 1 – Enhanced Bass Performance
For the main Living Room in Zone 1, the installer utilized the dedicated Preamp Out from the Soundavo EL-6i and connected it to a Soundavo PSB-1000DSP Subwoofer Amplifier.
The PSB-1000DSP was then used to power the homeowner’s existing two 10-inch passive subwoofer speakers, adding powerful and extended low-frequency performance to the Soundavo SD-8S-ALU in-ceiling speaker system.
This configuration allowed the homeowner to retain the existing subwoofers while integrating them directly into the new whole-home audio system, creating a much more dynamic listening experience for music and entertainment in the main living area.
Zone 6 – Outdoor Entertainment
For Zone 6, which covers the Pool Deck and Rooftop Lounge, additional amplification was required to provide greater power and wider audio coverage across the outdoor entertainment areas.
The installer connected the Zone 6 Preamp Out of the Soundavo EL-6i to a Soundavo CSA-150 450W Power Amplifier, which powers Soundavo EC-650-V2 Outdoor Speakers positioned throughout the outdoor areas.
This configuration allowed the homeowner to achieve much higher outdoor volume capability and wider sound coverage for social gatherings and outdoor parties while maintaining clean audio clarity even in open-air environments. The additional amplifier power also provided better dynamic headroom for the outdoor speaker system during larger events and beachfront entertainment activities.
Centralized Equipment, Simple Control
One of the homeowner’s primary concerns was ease of use for guests and family members. The installer customized the system so each zone could be controlled directly from L1W LCD display keypad, a smartphone or tablet using the Soundavo control app. Whether relaxing by the infinity pool, hosting sunset gatherings on the rooftop terrace, or enjoying quiet music inside the master suite, the homeowner could instantly switch sources and adjust volume independently in each zone.
All of the system components — including the Soundavo EL-6i, PSB-1000DSP Subwoofer Amplifier, CSA-150 Power Amplifier, network equipment, and PMX-6600 Power Conditioner — were installed in a centralized equipment rack, keeping the home's living areas clean and free from visible AV equipment.
The result is a whole-home audio system that feels like part of the architecture rather than an addition to it.
From discreet SD-8S-ALU in-ceiling speakers throughout the interior, to enhanced dual-subwoofer performance in the Living Room, to the CSA-150-powered EC-650-V2 outdoor speaker system, every component was selected and configured to meet the unique requirements of the property.
Following project completion, the homeowner shared that the system exceeded expectations in both sound quality and daily usability. Guests frequently complimented how effortless the audio system felt throughout the house, while the hidden centralized rack design preserved the clean luxury aesthetic of the beachfront home.
Today, the Florida beach house operates as a fully integrated smart entertainment environment powered by the Soundavo EL-6i platform — delivering premium whole-home audio performance across every indoor and outdoor living space.
